2D DICOM Viewer

Professional-grade tools for viewing, navigating, and analyzing 2D medical images directly in your browser.

Window/Level (WW/WL) Adjustment

Fine-tune brightness and contrast with preset and custom window/level settings for optimal tissue visualization.

Enables dynamic adjustment of DICOM image brightness and contrast using mouse drag. Quickly switch between predefined presets (CT Abdomen, Lung, Bone, Brain, COVID-19) or create custom W/L values. Includes WW/WL from Region — select an area and automatically compute optimal values based on pixel intensities.

Zoom, Pan & Rotate

Navigate large images with smooth zoom, pan, and rotation controls — on desktop and touch devices.

Interactive zoom with scroll wheel or pinch-to-zoom on touch screens. Pan with click-and-drag or Ctrl+right-click. Real-time rotation of images for viewing from different orientations. Fit-to-window and 1:1 pixel mapping with a single click.

Stack Scroll & Cine Playback

Navigate through multi-frame series with configurable looping, frame skipping, and auto-play cine mode.

Rapid navigation through entire 3D volumes with configurable looping and frame skip. Cine mode auto-plays multiframe series (cardiac US, dynamic MRI) at adjustable FPS with play/pause and step controls. Manual frame-by-frame navigation also available.

Layouts & Hanging Protocols

Multi-viewport grid layouts (1x1, 1x2, 2x1, 2x2, 3x1, and more) with automatic series arrangement.

Seven configurable grid layouts including single view, side-by-side, stacked, and asymmetric configurations. Hanging protocols automatically populate viewports with related series based on study type and modality. Prior/current study comparison with synchronized scrolling.

Colormaps & LUT Palettes

17+ color lookup tables including Grayscale, Hot, Bone, Jet, HSV, PET, and specialized COVID-19 and Muscle-Bone palettes.

Apply predefined or custom color palettes optimized for different modalities and anatomies. Quick-select presets like CT Abdomen, CT Lung, CT Bone automatically set appropriate W/L values. Interactive range slider for limiting color mapping to specific intensity ranges.

Viewport Overlays & Display Settings

Toggle metadata overlays, orientation markers, scale bar, crosshairs, and mask markers — plus dark/light theme.

Displays DICOM metadata (patient name, study date, image position) directly on the viewport. Orientation markers (L/R, A/P, S/I), scale bar with real measurements, and segmentation mask markers. Configurable dark/light theme, compact navbar, and per-study display preferences.

Measurements & Annotations

Precision measurement tools and clinical annotations for quantitative image analysis and structured reporting.

Length & Angle Measurements

Measure distances, angles, and bidirectional diameters with sub-pixel accuracy on calibrated DICOM images.

Line, angle, Cobb angle, and bidirectional tools with automatic pixel spacing calibration from DICOM metadata. Results displayed in millimeters. Bidirectional measurement for RECIST-compliant lesion sizing in oncology follow-up.

ROI Tools (Rectangle, Ellipse, Freehand)

Draw regions of interest with automatic calculation of area, mean, min/max pixel values, and standard deviation.

Rectangle, elliptical, and freehand polygon ROI tools. Each computes area (cm²), mean/min/max pixel values, and standard deviation. Freehand drawing for irregular anatomical boundaries. ROIs can be converted to overlays or exported for research.

Probe, Drag Probe & Border Magnify

Sample pixel intensity values at specific points, track values dynamically, or magnify a region with an inset view.

Click to display exact pixel intensity (HU in CT). Drag Probe continuously samples along a path to identify intensity gradients and tissue transitions. Border Magnify creates a zoomed inset view with location indicator for simultaneous detail and context.

Arrows, Text Markers & Eraser

Add arrows, numbered labels, and text annotations to highlight findings — with eraser for selective cleanup.

Customizable arrow and pointer tools for indicating specific anatomical findings. Numbered labels (1, 2, 3...) and custom text annotations for documenting multiple findings in sequence. Eraser tool for selective removal of individual markups without affecting image data.

Ground Truth & Clinical Annotations

Structured annotation system with standardized labels for Mass, Calcification, Architectural Distortion, and BI-RADS density.

Create structured annotations for ground truth labeling including Mass, Calcification, Architectural Distortion, Global/Focal Asymmetry, and Surgical Scar. Each annotation captures laterality, view position, coordinates, and clinical comments. BI-RADS breast density classification (A-D) with per-laterality assessment.

3D Visualization & MPR

Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR)

Reconstruct axial, sagittal, and coronal views simultaneously with interactive crosshair-linked navigation.

Automatically generates three orthogonal slices (Top/Axial, Left/Sagittal, Front/Coronal) from volumetric DICOM data. Interactive crosshair-linked panes with synchronized scrolling. Oblique plane reconstruction for off-axis visualization. Thick-slab MPR with configurable slab thickness.

3D Volume Rendering (VR)

Generate interactive 3D surface renderings from CT and MR volumetric data with cinematic rendering options.

GPU-accelerated volume rendering creates interactive 3D surface models directly from DICOM data. Supports rotation, zoom, and pan of the 3D model. Cinematic rendering options for photorealistic visualization. Can render from single series or composite renderings.

3D Measurements & Landmarks

Place anatomical landmarks and perform distance measurements directly on 3D reconstructed volumes.

Add measurement points and anatomical landmarks to MPR and VR renderings. Distance measurements between landmarks with metric extraction. Useful for quantitative 3D anatomy assessment, preoperative planning, and longitudinal monitoring.

Surface Export & 3D Printing

Export 3D mesh models in STL, OBJ, and other formats for external processing or 3D printing.

Mask Storage & Export

Save segmentation masks to the server and export as DICOM RTSTRUCT, NIfTI, or image formats.

Store edited masks with metadata (timestamp, creator, properties) for persistence and later retrieval. Download masks as DICOM RTSTRUCT files for radiotherapy planning, NIfTI for research pipelines, or standard image formats. Masks can be reloaded and refined in future sessions.

Series Grouping & Hide Processing

Automatically group derived series (DBT, Synth, Raw) and hide processing/intermediate series for a cleaner view.

Intelligent series grouping collapses related series — Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) Tomo, Synthetic 2D, and Raw Projections are grouped under the parent study. Toggle visibility of processing and raw series to declutter the dashboard. Grouped series can be expanded individually when needed.
